First grade market was a SUCCESS!

Moore first graders have been studying goods and services and the differences between them. With the guidance of teachers Mrs. Manroe, Mrs. Petersen, and Mrs. Booth Moore’s three first grades hosted a market today to sell both goods and services to classmates, staff and parents. The market was also a great tool to learn how we exchange money for good and services. Items were available for purchase for one ticket. Before entering the market guests purchased tickets for one dollar each.

First graders made and sold jewelry at their market.

Masks were a popular item at the market.

Framed art made of popsicle sticks was in high demand at the market on March 8th.

There were also services for sale at the market. Interested in getting your nails painted? How about a cartwheel/gymnastics lesson? First graders could help you out with  that as well!

Gymnastics demonstrations were a highlight of the day!

Proceeds from the market will be donated to The American Red Cross.
