What’s going on at Moore?

Have you driven by lately? Are you scratching your head wondering what in the world is going on over there? All that mud, equipment, work crews, and bricks equals progress! Here’s what 6.6 million dollars in improvements and renovations looks like so far:

This is more than a swampy mess-it’s the new Geo-thermal system being installed at Moore.

Crews are hard at work in all kinds of conditions getting the building ready for the start of school. That includes installing a Geo-thermal heating and cooling system on the southeast side of the building. Not only that but have you noticed this going up on the southwest side of the building? That’s the brand new gym. The addition of this space means the cafeteria can serve as just that-a place to enjoy lunch while the new gymnasium gives students lots of room to get active.

It takes a lot of manpower and materials to get the job done as you can see from the piles of bricks and other materials on hand.

There are many  more improvements going on that you can’t see when you pass by. The inside of the building is being completely renovated with state-of-the-art technology in the classrooms, a security system, remodeled bathrooms, and of course carpet, paint, and furnishings.
