Doing a good deed for the dogs of the ARL

Moore students have been busy preparing to do a service project for the Animal Rescue League. It all began a few weeks ago when a note went home requesting donations of old t-shirts and our families answered the call in a BIG way. The office was overflowing with your generous donations. Last week students got a good start on cutting the shirts into to strips of fabric.

This week during Power Hour classes paired up and began braiding those strips into dog toys.

Those piles of old t-shirts have been transformed and our building is now full of baskets and tubs filled with dog toys. This service project was a win for everyone involved: the dogs got new toys, families recycled old shirts, and students had the opportunity to do a good deed!
