1st Grade Visit

Our 1st Grade classes were lucky to have a visit from the Spark Foundation. Their mission is to spark opportunities for success among students through the promotion of literacy and educational programs. We aim to help reduce the reading achievement gap between high- and low-income students and summer reading loss by ensuring every student has the opportunity to build their very own personal library. Additionally, it is critically important to us that children see themselves in books. Therefore, many of the books that we provide feature diverse characters, cultures, and socio-economic statuses. We hope you enjoy seeing the books your children bring home, and that you will engage with them to help spark their love for reading.
