The first day of school is right around the corner on Wednesday, Aug 26. A reminder, students may arrive as early as 8:20 a.m. for breakfast, walk to their rooms at 8:35 a.m. and class begins at 8:45 a.m. We’ve been putting the finishing touches on the district’s newest elementary school and we can’t wait to get the school year started!

Moore Elementary School held a community open house on August 17th to welcome people into the newly renovated school. There were lots of oos and ahs as new students and their parents toured the building, which includes a new playground, new gymnasium and geothermal heating and cooling. The construction of Moore Elementary School (3716 50th St.) is almost complete and so new principal Beth Sloan is inviting the community to stop by Monday, Aug. 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to have a look around. See how Moore has set the bar for future elementary schools with everything from geothermal heating and cooling to technology in the classroom.
