First Grade Market was a HUGE success!

Mrs. Manroe’s and Mrs. Petersen’s first grade classes have been learning about the differences between goods and services and those who provide them. On March 9th they held a market in the Media Center to celebrate the end of the unit. Students, staff and parents had the opportunity to purchase items for $1.00 each. First graders had been preparing for weeks for the big day by making items to sell including picture frames, bead necklaces, and snow globes.

Students also learned a lesson about supply and demand as some items sold out within the first hour of the market.
