Moore fifth graders were in a for a treat on Tuesday, May 9th. Julio Arruda dos Santos and Holly Sells from CultureALL paid a visit to educate fifth grade on the Afro-Brazilian art form of CAPOEIRA. It is a unique art form that combines dance, music and martial arts. Holly played the beats on the drum while Julio explained the moves.
After a few minutes of listening and demonstration, students were ready to try it!
It was a perfect day to learn about performing arts and a culture and art form very different from our own.
