Big scissors cut a ceremonial ribbon at Moore Elementary School on September 17th to welcome students and families back to the newly updated school. Post #9127 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars presented Moore with two new flags. After the Pledge of Allegiance and a poem read by the students, Principal Beth Sloan welcomed everyone into the school. The first day of school is right around the corner on Wednesday, Aug 26. A reminder, students may arrive as early as 8:20 a.m. for breakfast, walk to their rooms at 8:35 a.m. and class begins at 8:45 a.m. We’ve been putting the finishing touches on the district’s newest elementary school and we can’t wait to get the school year started!
